Beautifully done, a beautiful style. I’m so happy to see so many young beautiful ladies who embrace the elegance of the 40′s. Although I wasn’t born until the late 40′s (48), I watched all those beautiful actresses of the 40′s in film with my mom as they were on TV until the 60′s. I have so many good memories of the fashion and hairstyles and grace of that era, and watching those old movies with my mom.

Just finished trying out this style. It looks great, but I had a lot of trouble with the back. I figured out why, though. My hair really isn’t that thick. -__- I ended up having to put it into a tighter bun, but it worked out pretty well. I think it’s a style I’ll do often. :]

    Hey!
I was able to do everything pretty easily until I had to pin the front “puff”. Could you maybe explain to me in a message or make a more detailed tutorial on it?

Thanks so much, I have a fancy dress party with a wartime theme and couldn’t work out how to my hair on my own. A really easy but effective and glamorous way to do your hair.

This is lovely! It wasn’t so terribly hard to do. And right now my hair’s kind of a mess and I can’t wear it loose, so it’s a perfect hairstyle to look neat and elegant despite my own mess :)
By the way, you remind me of Allie from The Notebook!
