I remember when I was a kid, half the fun of getting ice cream was chasing the truck with friends and yelling out through the neighborhood to the other kids inside their homes “Ice cream truck is here!”

Now kids go to the store open a freezer, get whatever, say to their parents “I want this one.”, go back to the car, sit on their butt eat and nag on how the ice cream tastes.

There’s no magic in ice cream anymore.

The difference is that kids now will attack the shit out of the truck.

I’d say this “block” of ads were originally seen in 1960 (note the “CD” {Civil Defense} logo on the side of the truck at 1:20).
